All Cassie wants is to be left alone. After returning from a long day in the city, to a crowded Bushwick apartment filled with roommates, she knows that it will be an impossibility. So she heads to her roof, the last place she knows she can find peace and quiet.
Except that’s not what she finds when she gets there. After a brief moment of relaxation, she soon discovers that someone else is there too...and he's been waiting for her.

Production History
This entire sequence, with Asta Paredes and Clay von Carlowitz in the starring roles, is part of a much larger feature-length screenplay written by Brian DiLorenzo.
In the feature the narrative expands, capturing the lives and stories of over a dozen characters, all across the Bushwick neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY.
Told in various chapters over a ten-year period, we experience the reign of terror that The Bushwick Psycho inflicts on the poor and unsuspecting residents of the Brooklyn community.
With Julie Bart, a cancelled podcast host, as our main protagonist, we dive further and further into the case, examining not only the lives of these victims but also the nature of true crime itself.
"The Bushwick Psycho" was also adapted into a stage reading in 2024 and performed for a private audience at the Chain Theatre in NYC.
